About Greenlight PVP Laser Procedure
No other procedure has been shown clinically to provide such dramatic and immediate symptom relief while concurrently being fast, easy to learn and perform, and have so few, if any, side-effects. Other BPH treatments require compromises to be made by the patient and/or the physician. With PVP, there are no compromises, just great results! The PVP procedure is conducted in a minimally invasive, outpatient setting, typically a hospital or surgical center and the average operative time is under 20 minutes. The GreenLight PV™ surgical laser system is used to deliver laser light pulses through a specially designed fiber optic delivery device that is inserted through a standard cystoscope under endoscopic visualization. The light pulses are directed at the prostate obstructive tissue and quickly and gently vaporize and remove it completely and bloodlessly.
Once the procedure is completed, patients exhibit immediate post-operative symptom relief and dramatic improvements in AUA symptom scores, flow rates, and post-void residuals.
